The Music Man
Opening February 3, at 7:30 pm

An affectionate paean to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man” follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.

Castro Valley High’s production, celebrating and featuring talented performers from our school district and community, opens on Friday, February 3, at 7:30pm with Dean Bacho playing Harold Hill and Meredith Rogers portraying Marian Paroo. They are supported by a cast of over 150 talented actors, musicians and technical theatre artists.

By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, “The Music Man” is family entertainment at its best. This is a “Don’t miss” show!

Special performances indicated with an “*” will feature world-class professional actors Clark Sterling** and Heather Carolo** in the title roles of Harold and Marian.
