Golden State Theatre Productions

Castro Valley Arts Foundation announces the formation of Golden State Theatre Productions (GSTP), the “producing” arm responsible for shows based out of the new Castro Valley Center for the Arts, a 516-seat state of the art theatre.

David Judson and Pat Parr are GSTP’s co-artistic directors.  One of the newest theatre companies in the Bay Area, GSTP has already staged Oklahoma! and Side by Side by Sondheim, two of the Castro Valley Arts Foundation’s 2007-2008 season productions, using both Actor’s Equity and community participants, and community and professional orchestra members.

The lineup for Castro Valley Arts Foundation’s upcoming 2008-2009 subscription season includes Carousel, Into the Woods, and a to-be-named music revue.  Openings for qualified Directors, Choreographers and Music Directors are available. Casting for Carousel is complete.  Auditions for Into the Woods are scheduled for October.  Click on the link below for audition information.
